Playing in the Snow

So, this is what we do when it is too cold to go outside. Earlier this week it was only in the teens and we had just gotten some new snow. I brought some in and gave my daughter and her friend their own tub of snow, along with some sticks, scoops, cup and spoon. They started off wearing gloves, but as the snow warmed they found they didn't need them. The girls spent over an hour playing with their tubs of snow! They had such fun!

This looks like the best fun ever! Hope we (UK) get snow, right now all we seem to be getting is lethal ice :0( Though I did find this....

What a fun idea! Next week is supposed to be so cold - maybe we'll bring some of the snow inside. It would be fun to pour a little liquid watercolor on it, too... hmmm...
Thanks for the ideas! I am loving your blog!

We recently did this with our toddler class. We filled the water table with snow and kept it on the porch until we were ready to use it. Then we rolled it in and gave the children small pitchers of warm water to pour. They loved it! What happened to the snow? Science in the toddler room! I love your blog by the by, thank you for sharing with us all.
PEACE
