Sensory Play: Bells

We have been collecting bells over the past year. They seem to be found often at yard sales in the summer and thrift stores every now and then. These small bells are fun to ring, and my daughters love to use them in their play or when singing songs. The bells also provide a great auditory sensory experience. We've found that just as each bell has an unique appearance, the bells each have an unique sound.

I finally found a display shelf ($1 at Goodwill!) for our collection. As with the storing of all our toys, I tried to find a way to store the bells that would be inviting, appealing, easily accessible and organized. With the addition of a few new Christmas toys, I've found that there are some other spots in the house that need a little storage help too!

What a fabulous collection, I would never have thought of collecting bells.

Those are really beautiful--a nice addition to their value as musical toys.

Oh these are lovely and such fun for children to play with. I never seem to find such treasures when I go thrifting - or maybe I do but don't see the potential in them.
