For our craft day we made candle holders. My daughters each have a candle we use at dinner time every evening. I light the candle and it is placed in front of their space at the table. It's funny how simple acts, like the use of a candle, can add a special feeling to our family meal. It helps remind me to slow down, to enjoy the meal and to appreciate our togetherness. Of course, they really enjoy blowing out their own candle after the meal is finished!
I used the Crayola Model Magic, which air dries on it's own. We rolled some to form a ball, then inserted the candle. Little pieces were added on around the sides. It was so simple and they loved it.
